Flower Garden

Today I’m sharing a DIY project that we wanted to accomplish this spring. I absolutely LOVE flowers. They are one of my favorite joys in this life. Having a flower garden is a goal of mine in any home I live in. You don’t have to have a huge space to create your dream garden. With a little imagination, patience and grit, you can create something REALLY special. In todays video, I’m showing footage of planting this garden over the course of a few days. I started first with pruning the shrubs that were here when we moved in. While my husband was finishing up the wood finish around the garden, I added some mulch from Lowes and began planting Sunflowers, Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas and Hollyhocks. The sunflowers were started in our indoor green house at the end of winter. We wanted to get a head start on the Mammoth sunflowers & the chocolate sunflowers. I got Peony Tubers from Walmart, which likely will bloom next spring. For some instant gratification, I decided to plant hydrangeas and roses from a local farm nursery here in Tennessee. Once these are all blooming together it’s gonna be absolutely lush and stunning in this area, and I can’t wait to share with you!! I will create a playlist and update on this particular garden, along with our other gardens.
