Which flowers are the easiest for starting a cutting garden? Well, there are a few! These are the three we go back to in my zone over and over again–fall direct sowing doesn’t work well in my garden personally because our springs are so dry, so while I will occasionally start things like larkspur, bells of ireland, bupleurum and a couple more from seed in the fall, they aren’t really my “go tos”–these summer producers are where it’s at for me for ease of growing! Simply pop the seeds in the ground and you’ll be off and running on the way to a great cutting flower garden!
We’ll also talk about the three that are often used in cutting gardens but I don’t tend to use for cuts anymore. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t great flowers in their own right!
We hope you’re inspired to get started with an easy to grow from seed cut flower garden with this video!
