Flower Garden
Beautiful flowerbed and flower garden in the courtyard of a private home! 35 ideas

When designing a flowerbed, it’s crucial to follow a specific sequence to achieve the desired result and create the intended effect. Before starting the creation of a flowerbed, grab a sheet of paper and a pencil, sketch out your plot of land, and determine an appropriate location for your garden. It’s essential to decide on the shape and design of the flowerbed, ensuring that it complements the surrounding landscape, as well as the shape and style of the building. When selecting a spot for your garden, remember that plants require at least 5-6 hours of sunlight daily, so choose a sunny, draft-free location and remove any weeds or lawn grass.

Next, analyze the chosen area to determine the type of soil and its condition. Generally, flowerbeds can be planted in any soil; however, clay soil should be mixed with sand, and poor soil should be enriched with compost (peat).

The following step involves preparing the soil and loosening (digging) it. This is necessary to oxygenate the soil and evenly distribute fertilizers. Soil preparation stages include: marking (using stakes and cords); removing turf; creating drainage with pebbles and sand; applying fertilizer; forming the desired relief; and clearing the soil of rhizomes.
